So I had the immense pleasure of reading this book early courtesy of NetGalley and Simon Schuester. I got to enjoy an eARC but as soon as I closed the book, I knew that I had to preorder a physical copy for my forever shelf. This book is precious to me and I am so excited to explore more work from Rachel Lynn Solomon. I absolutely recommend this book with my whole heart and so does Hannah. I got her to read it after I did and she echoed all of my love for it.
The book is a part sci-fi, part love story following a girl named Barrett and a boy named Miles who meet on their first day of a physics class. Once they realize they are stuck in a time loop, the fun begins. When I say fun, I mean the slow burn romance, the sharing, the connection building, the insanely cute back and forth. I cannot handle how cute this book was; how it thawed my cold heart and had me weeping. Don‘t believe me? Click here.
I finished this book feeling hopeful and warm. I plan to one day in the future, read it again on a beach somewhere just to feel something other than every day stress or existential dread. There is so much to love and root fore. From Barrett’s relationship with her queer (and adorable) mother, to her relationship with herself and her body and the believable way that her and Miles form a relationship… this book is a treat to read and you should go buy it right now. It is the perfect book for a lazy summer day… or any day.
